Talk at Estacion Tijuana

Last weekend i had the pleasure of attending a lecture at Estacion Tijuana (part of Estacion Tijuana's visiting lecture series) by Brain Funoki.  Funoki is a psycology grad student with an interest in architecture and border politics.  Much along the lines of Teddy Cruz and his work of architecture/urbanisum/border politics.  i would like to say that not only do i have an interest and an opinion on the topic/s but have some knowledge about this as well but i was taken aback by his presentation.  an abundance of information on a global level was presented on the overgrowing idea of border development and re enforcement.  not only was his vast knowledge and words gripping but the added visual presentation was eye opening and surprising.  issues ranging from how architecture is adding and benefitting from border development, from strong fence structures to portable holding cells and jails.  if you are interested in such things or just want your world knowledge widened i suggest you visit Funoki's blog at subtopia.blogspot.com
His presentation has inspired me so that is has directed some of my work to address some of these issues.
